APPLICATION
Does Accenture accept speculative applications?
Accenture doesn’t accept speculative CVs for the Apprenticeship programme. To apply for any position, please select the appropriate programme.
Can I apply for a role based on predicted grades?
Yes, you can. Upon applying, you will need to provide your predicted grades. We do need you to then achieve the minimum grades needed for the relevant programmes. Failure to do this can result in an offer being retracted as per qualifications guidelines set by our training providers.
Can I apply for more than one Apprenticeship programme?
No, you can apply for only one programme at a time. If during our selection process we feel your skills are better suited to a different programme, we’ll discuss this with you. You can also tell us if you would like to alter the programme you’re applying for.
My grades fall short of the minimum academic criteria, but I have mitigating circumstances. What should I do?
Any mitigating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the recruitment team. When you complete the online application form, specify the mitigating circumstances in the box provided. A mitigating circumstance is a valid reason why you didn’t get the grades you would ordinarily have achieved. Please note that Accenture will consider only mitigating circumstances that have been submitted to your examining board and can be verified by Accenture.
What is the name of the degree?
This depends on which Apprenticeship programme you choose. Please look at each individual scheme for full degree titles.
What is the difference between the Technology and Consulting degree apprenticeship programmes?
The main differences between these opportunities are:
- The qualifications you will receive upon completion of your degree (look at the individual scheme for further detail)
- The day-to-day activities will vary as the Consulting programme will have more of a project management focus, that will include a lot of client-facing roles whereas technology may be focusing on the more technical element of our services for clients
How do I know what apprenticeship is most suitable for me?
Look at the eligibility criteria and job descriptions and go with the one you are more passionate about. Are you someone who thrives in collaborative spaces, enjoys research, presenting and has great attention to detail? If this is the case, you should explore the Consulting Apprenticeship. Or are you someone that prefers to get immersed in the future of technology and wants to be a part of the teams creating the tech that will change the working landscape for many companies? If this is the case the Technology Apprenticeship is your best option.
How long does the apprenticeship last?
The apprenticeship lasts for around two to four years, dependent on the scheme. During that time, you’ll be kept busy with a mix of on-the-job experience as well as structured training and courses. You’ll also work towards qualifications, so you’ll progress through different stages over the course of your time on the scheme.
Am I guaranteed a permanent job at the end?
If you perform well and complete the apprenticeship, you will be offered a full-time job in the relevant business area.
WORKING AT ACCENTURE
What help will you give me to get started on the programme?
We invest heavily in the development of all of our apprentices. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by a dedicated Programme Team, a Career Coach and an apprentice buddy and you will also have the support of peers in our well-established Apprentice community.
Will I always work in the office that is my base location?
In order to understand and meet our clients’ needs fully, most Accenture projects are based on client sites. This means in a normal working week you will be working out of the client’s office, wherever it may be, rather than at your base location. All reasonable expenses will be paid when you are staying away from home. Most of our apprentices find this an exciting opportunity.
What role will I be performing?
The role you take on will vary depending upon the project that you join and the area of the business that you’re working in.
What are the working hours?
Your working hours will be from 9:00 am to 5.30pm (with an hour for lunch). As you work towards your qualifications, you’ll also need to put personal time towards your studies in order to progress on the scheme.
