What I do at Accenture…

I am a PPSM Analyst within operations and I am currently almost 12 months into my 2 year long Graduate Scheme. My current role is working across Account Management for several clients within our Utilities & Resources Industry Group.

What I wish I knew when I joined…

No one expects you to be a tech guru or an expert in any field. The most important thing is to be yourself and show foundational skills that got you the role in the first place, work ethic, willingness to learn and confident to try new things.

Project journey so far…

•Financial Services (FS) Sales – I have supported a number of the FS sales leads on projects across Capital Markets such as Morgan Stanley and Retail Banking such as HSBC to bid and respond to business process outsourcing opportunities.

•Utilities & Resources Account Management – I am currently supporting clients such as National Grid and improving the services we currently provide to them and tackling day to day issues/escalations that occur through the delivery of our services. Typical responsibilities include regular client meetings to report and update on that status of projects, connecting with the Accenture delivery team to ensure we are performing our services at the quality expected of us and regular planning session to understand how this can be improved or how we can further support the client.

Books, podcasts, YouTube videos or content I recommend for you…

I don’t have any specific books, podcasts or videos that I recommend but one thing I have found unbelievably helpful is when I am working across a new Industry group or technology I watch “X/Y for someone that has never heard of X/Y”. For example, when I first worked across Capital Markets sales I watched “Capital Markets for people that have never heard of capital markets” videos as this gives me a base knowledge of what I was going into and helped contextualise what people were saying to me in context of how the industry works/what clients actually do.
